When a vehicle is parked, the license plate is recorded and transmitted to a live central management system that allows customers to retrieve the location of their car by simply inputting their license plate into a parking pay station, find-my-car kiosk, or a mobile parking app. Once the license plate is entered, the location of the car is pinpointed on a digital map of the parking facility making it easy for customers to navigate to their car.
