Local SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a branch of marketing that is imperative to the success of your parking operation. Local SEO is the process of ensuring that the physical location of your parking lot is visible in the top results of search engines, like Google, for queries relevant to its location. In simple terms, local SEO is a location-based marketing technique that can be used to promote the physical location of your parking facility.

For example, if someone searches “parking near…” a venue near you,  local SEO is the process that ensures your parking facility appears on Google Search or Maps for that search query.

Needless to say, local SEO is one of the easiest, fastest, and cheapest ways to increase location awareness of your parking facility and at the same time, maximize your parking revenue. How? Today, approximately 80% of drivers in Canada rely on Google Search and Maps to plan their journeys ahead of time and request directions to their destination, which usually begins with parking their car. As a result, increasing the visibility of your parking lot online using local SEO increases the number of drivers who choose to request directions to your parking facility, inevitably increasing your parking revenue.
